Filmography

I have provided examples of some of the films I have written, filmed, and, most importantly, edited. Please read the summaries to understand the purpose behind each film.

1. CTV Promo (0:44) - June 2006

My prize for winnning the Toronto Student Film Festival was a week at CTV shadowing a producer and the opportunity to produce by own 30 second news promo that was aired between Oprah and Dr. Phil. This is the clip about my experience working CTV and was aired on their 11:00pm News.

2. The Bishop Strachan School Strategic Plan Video (7:56) - June 2006

I was asked to produce this film for BSS so it could be used both to summarize the 2001-2006 Strategic Plan as it came to a close and to launch the next strategic plan.

3. Sports Day Video (2:07) - April 2006

This "movie trailer" was produced to celebrate the 100th anniversary of BSS sports day at opening ceremonies. Thanks to BSS archives for supplying archive video footage.

4. The World According to Clay (2:45) - March 2006

A humourous yet educational claymation which ponders environmental issues. The screenplay, footage, editing, and music are all original. This film won First Prize - Best Overall Achievement in Film Production at the 2006 Toronto Student Film Festival.

5. Prefect Opening (7:30) - September 2006

In coordination with the other Prefects, this film was produced and screened on the first day of the 05/06 school year. The purpose of the film was to reveal the school theme, begin the "plot" that the school year will follow, learn the cheer, and inspire students to "Just Believe."

6. G.R.E.E.N. Conference Promo (1:00) - March 2005

As a member of the 2005 Youth G.R.E.E.N. Conference committee, I produced this promo video. It challenges concepts of environmental sustainability by asking the question "what if you could take it all back?" This film was screened at all the COSSOT school's assemblies to promote the conference and is posted on the conference website at GreenConference.org.

7. The Old Swing (2:10) - February 2005

Canadian poet Francis Edward Sparshott inspired this moving artistic film about time, love and childhood innocence. "The Old Swing" was chosen to be screened at the 2006 Toronto Student Film Festival. Originally, the film was as a result of a grade 12 film class assignment which was to adapt a Canadian Poem.

8. Mary-Jessie Chocolates (1:00) - September 2004

This film is one of the first I made on my own and came as a result of my grade 12 film class assignment to make a commercial about a product. The commercial is inspired by the early 1950s black and white commercials that our class learnt about during this unit.
